EOS Systems hot off the press with Newspaper IT solution The Northern Alpha Newspaper group is the largest weekly newspaper group in Ireland and publishes over 15 titles in Northern Ireland and over 5 publications in the Republic of Ireland.  In March 2007 EOS Systems were successful in securing a contract to provide the Northern/Alpha newspaper group with 21 Xserve servers.

EOS Systems have implemented high resiliency Apple server solutions in their sites in Coleraine, Moygashal and Athlone to run Mediaspan’s iQue and AdManage software. This streamlines their existing workflow and allows the company to create and deliver content for all the Group’s publications.

Each site has 7 x Rack mounted Apple Servers installed to run the Mediaspan applications with editorial and advertising staff connected.  Each application server is replicated both on-site and across all three sites to ensure maximum availability of access to their IT systems, and minimum disruption to the company’s productivity in the event of a server failure.  Each site is also backed up by a state of the art MGE UPS system for protection against power surges and power failures.

EOS Systems Check-In new IT System in Park Avenue Hotel IT Solutions provider EOS Systems has been awarded the contract to replace the existing IT infrastructure in the Park Avenue Hotel on Belfast with a new client/server based system. The new system comprising high end, high availability rack mounted servers including state of the art backup and storage will run the VisualOne Property Management software and Microsoft Exchange for email.

EOS Systems replaced the entire network including comms equipment, PCs, printers and point of sale terminals.  All hotel functions including bookings and restaurant facilities are now consolidated into one fully integrated system that can be easily managed from one central location within the hotel.
